Scrapbook -- Mixed Media -- Card Making
Vintage Lilac, Lavender & Lace Embellishment,
Millinery and Trim Set
I found ShaneLilyRain yesterday and had so much fun browsing through this shop. There are loads of stuff for all crafts in this shop from scrapbook to mixed media to card making to sewing. What I liked most in this shop were her bundles of goodies. I love the idea of packaging products like this because I know for me as a crafter I always love to get packages of goodies. I always ask my family members if they have little things they aren't using to give them to me and they'll give me a box of 'junk' as they call it. And when I open that box of junk, my eyes get wide like a little kid and it turns that box of junk into a box of little treasures. My creativity comes alive and it opens my mind to many new ideas. I'm not sure why that is, but I get much more creative when I get a box of various bits than I do when I get a package of the same item -- make sense to any other crafters out there or am I alone on this?

Cabachon Charm Covers
Hollow Dome Bubble Cabochon Charm Cover Cabs
I love, love, love these little plastic domes. There are countless ways these can be used. A couple of ways that come to mind are in jewelry add trinkets, beads, photos -- or for a scrapbook album cover these would definitely add charm protecting a photo with small trinkets added. I found these little beauties at Mermaid Treasures. They can be used in any number of craft projects. The bottom photo is an example photo the shop had to give you an idea of what can be done with these precious little domes and don't worry if you need the settings, they are also available in the shop.

Holiday Craft Sites - Free Projects
I thought I would check around for some sites that offer free craft projects for the holidays since they are right around the corner. These would be great sites to look for a fun, new project to start on your own, with a friend, family member or just spend a day creating with the kids. I'd like to share a few sites that I found today that offer free craft projects, free patterns and more for arts and crafts.
All Free Crafts
The project I really fell in love with on this site is the Paperback Christmas Tree. This is a great idea because it involves recycling. If you have some old paperback books that you were going to toss why not make them into something new like this Christmas tree. It's so very simple and you can make quite a few trees with just one paperback book for a lovely display.
North Pole Christmas offers a variety of free patterns and shapes for templates. I love their Santa Patterns. These are great if you need a template for any number of projects, sewing, woodcraft and foam are just a few.
Danielle's Place of Crafts and Activities has a great selection of kid's crafts for Thanksgiving. I think my favorite is the Thanksgiving Poem Placement, I love this idea. The placement has a poem that you can copy and paste onto your project, but having the kids make up a poem for each family member with their own drawing would be special to each recipient.
