Citrine

Citrine is November's birthstone. It is a variety of quartz with colors ranging from pale yellow to brown. It's nearly impossible to tell cut citrine from yellow topaz visibly. Citrine has ferric impurities and is rarely found naturally. In fact most commercial citrine is artificially heated. Here are some citrine/citrine inspired handmade items.

Handmade Movie Challenge 05.06.09

This is the Handmade Movie Challenge for 05.06.09 and it's another easy one. For those who have yet to play hopefully you'll be able to get the hang of it and it will be easy to pick up on the clues of the challenge and how the game is played. They will be getting harder from now on. Challenge: Guess this movie. There are handmade items for each of your clues, the clues may be in the photos or one word from the titles themselves. This was another great movie that was made in 1980. There may be other clues hiding in the right sidebar under My Favorites. I will not enable comments until the next post where I will reveal the correct answer. Have fun!! If you'd like to see last week's movie challenge it is here and the answer is in this post.

Tag You're It

Indie Sista's was tagged by:

Mea Culpa Body and Bath

And here are my seven tags. I have chosen all indie blogs this time, specifically jewelry designers and along with tagging them I thought I'd show you one of their creations, that also happens to be one of my favorites in their shop. So here you go, these are links to all of their blogs, but you can find where to buy any of these pieces if you stop by and visit them at their blog. I hope you enjoy.

Bonhomie Jewelry

Hot Rocks Glass Jewels

Mu-Yin Jewelry

Contrariwise Ramblings

StudioJewel

time2cre8, Mary Lou's Art [Ad]venture

Dashery Jewelry

Seven Random Facts:
1)
I love animals
2) I love really cute and really dark pieces, go from one extreme to the other
3)
I am both a bit quirky, but overly serious, go figure
4) Family and friends are extremely important
5) Love to seek out indie pieces from fashion to furniture
6) I am an introverted extrovert
7) Music plays an important part in my life

The basic rules for tagging are simple rules: Mention the person who tagged you and link the person, post the rules in your blog, write 7 random things about yourself, tag seven people at the end of your post and link to them and let each person know they've been tagged.
