Do You Wear an Apron?
This is our buy and supply segment and we're curious as to how many of our readers wear an apron while cooking. Is it something that you find a necessity or is wearing an apron something you have never considered?
Whether you wear them all the time or would like to start wearing one, you can either purchase an already made apron or try on your crafty side and make one for yourself.

PDF Felt Patterns

Fabulous Fruit PDF Pattern
Gulf Coast Cottage PDF has sooooo many adorable patterns to choose from. If you're interested in felt and would love to start making some of these creations yourself, this is the place to stop and take a look. There are many patterns to choose from and when completed they are great for the kids to play with and have tea parties -- or you can teach the kids how to make them too, keep those little hands busy and keep the creativity flowing! That definitely makes for happy children and parents alike.

Sensational Pin Cushions

Voodoo Doll Pincushion
Voodoo dolls and skulls, these aren't your average every day pin cushions, but oh how cute they are! I fell in love with the idea of a voodoo doll pincushion, not only can you sew, but you can put a hex on someone at the same time. These wonderful pincushions come from sewsewsuckurtoe. They are bright, fun and will make your sewing time just a bit more pleasurable!

These handmade yo yo's are made by Meisharay and come in a number of beautiful prints. And what's a better print to display today than yo yo's made from red, white and blue fabric, a bit of patriotism -- I hope it reminds everyone what today is -- it's voting day! These yo yo's are wonderful for scrapbooking, quilting, applique and just about any number of uses in your craft projects.

Fabrics, Silks and More

Silk Fabric Squares Charmeuse Velvet Brocade
If you love swatches of fabrics as I do, such as silks, velvets and brocades, Silk Fabric has loads of beautiful fabrics to choose from. If sewing is your thing or if you're in love with quilting then these fabrics could be a beautiful addition for many of your sewing projects. I love the Victorian Crazy Quilt and although I've never done a full sized quilt, I have done blocks of Victorian Crazy Quilts and these fabrics would be just wonderful for a project like that. The shop also sells other fabrics in various sizes including chiffon, velvet, brocade, organza and more.

Holiday Craft Sites - Free Projects

I thought I would check around for some sites that offer free craft projects for the holidays since they are right around the corner. These would be great sites to look for a fun, new project to start on your own, with a friend, family member or just spend a day creating with the kids. I'd like to share a few sites that I found today that offer free craft projects, free patterns and more for arts and crafts.
All Free Crafts
The project I really fell in love with on this site is the Paperback Christmas Tree. This is a great idea because it involves recycling. If you have some old paperback books that you were going to toss why not make them into something new like this Christmas tree. It's so very simple and you can make quite a few trees with just one paperback book for a lovely display.
North Pole Christmas offers a variety of free patterns and shapes for templates. I love their Santa Patterns. These are great if you need a template for any number of projects, sewing, woodcraft and foam are just a few.
Danielle's Place of Crafts and Activities has a great selection of kid's crafts for Thanksgiving. I think my favorite is the Thanksgiving Poem Placement, I love this idea. The placement has a poem that you can copy and paste onto your project, but having the kids make up a poem for each family member with their own drawing would be special to each recipient.
